My e fiancée was an Australian and I found him and his family so warm, upbeat and genuine. I loved it. A great poem Happy Australia day! love Meia xx

Advance, Australia fair! One of my regrets is that I nevet got there. I nearly did in 1968 when I was posted to Singapore and found on my arrival that the rest of my unit had gone to Australia for exercises in a place called Raspberry Creek. Instead of sending me off to join them they sent me on a course on how to load aeroplanes. That took place in Singapore but I did meet several officers from the Australian army on that course and ended up spending a great weekend in their mess in Malaysia.

G'day Mame, Thank you for your review and sometime the use of the semicolon is to linger at that word before moving on. Poetic punctuation is often difficult to get right and I need help at times also but I hope my words made up for that LOL . Hope ypu celebrated well in Tassie ( a lovely state my husband and me enjoy seeing Tassie and always feel welcomed . It is quite similar to Victoria in many ways.
