Lee, you are my inspiration when it comes to writing skills, so whenever you send big stars out to me, I have to stomp my ego into the waste can out in the garage and weld it shut till the smile on my face eases back enough that I can eat my lunch! Of course this helps with weight control but it keeps my neighbors absolutely in stitches! I love it anyway! thanks!!

Loved this, Vance, and you had me all the way up until the following line highlighted in yellow:

It was those two small words, "not ever", which threw off the fabulous rhythm you'd created up to that point.
I've suggested "never" as an alternative.
Still, great message and wonderful writing.
