Hello Roy
Your poem about cruel words reminds me of the poem I wrote for how cruel words can deeply disturb a child
What awesome word (GRACE) to forgive and help heal the wounds of Cruel Words

Thanks so much Gert, yes, you're right about children, if a mother or father says something derogatory to a child, that word can be carried through their lives, conversely the opposite is true also, thanks for these fine comments and great review, blessings, Roy

Because of God's grace, we exist and therefore shouldn't we show grace to others? Excellent rhyme and flow in this wonderfully presented message

This faith filled poetry is a revelation for all readers. It is wise to put the mind in gear before the mouth goes into action, as my grandma always said. This is inspirational and an excellent read to remind of God's grace and sacrifice.
Words are a powerful tool, used wisely to soothe but deadly when misused.
Well written.
Have a great Monday.

A very well-written poem. We sometimes forget how powerful our words can be, especially the hurtful ones we carelessly spit out when we are upset and angry.

This is a terrific message, Roy :) Something I learned from Brooke was to be cheerful, positive, and encouraging in poems. Being negative and cranky doesn't prove much. So that's what I try to do.

with power to crush or power to praise."
I choose to praise.

Roy, this is so very true. It takes no effort to rip someone up and may give a cheap few seconds of satisfaction. But taking the time to be the light to someone, brighten their day and lift their self esteem doesn't take any more effort than ripping, but the results are so much more positive for both parties. And way longer lasting.
Great work!

Comment from Meia (MESAYERS)
This poem is beautiful in it's truth Roy. I always try to turn the other cheek even though I am strongly opinionated. I am far from perfect but if I am to say my Our Father with truth I must forgive all those who have trespassed against me as well as those I have hurt inadvertently. I would never seek out to hurt someone. I loved this poem so I am giving it six well done my friend xx Love Meia x
