And I shall walk into the middle of a story and yell "Duh?" Yet the details that make the action realistic supply a lot of answers. England in the day of land barons, with girl ghost partnered to a sturdy yeoman on a quest...excellent writing.

Looks like the bad guys are everywhere, but I'm betting on Veronica to come up with a plan to get everyone back to safety. It's nothing a little ammonium nitrate and a match won't heal rather quickly. Thanks for another fine chapter. :-)

Hi Sandra, I just love this. What a wonderful chapter. I love the scene where Victoria throws stones at the assailants, and they can't see her. Brilliant. Just a minor thing:
then turned and made my way down the lane the in direction the two men had come from. = in the direction the two men had come from. Can't wait to reading on. Ulla xxxx

Thanks for catching that error, I've been editing so much, it probably came out the wrong way in one of the edits. The brain gives up after a while. LOL. Thanks for the lovely 6 stars, my friend, and the helpful and wonderful review. :) Sandra xx

Another great chapter. The story flows seamlessly as usual and I see no errors. I read this yesterday, but waited until today to review so I could give you a 6. Well done, my friend

I thoroughly enjoyed yet another fabulous chapter from the book, Sandra.
And of course you once again had to tease me with that ending, hey?

Brilliant and a definite six star!

When Veronica started throwing her stones, I'd hoped that the attackers would take to their heels, scared of whatever ghosts were assisting Joe. But of course that was wistful thinking.

The furniture was sparse, but Gladys had made the most of what she had to make the whole setting cosy and warm. ~ if you can find another word for the first "made" in the sentence, it would make the sentence better and eliminate your using the word "make" in one and the same sentence, Sndra.

Oh, I need you to sit on my shoulder to make me delve deeper into my creative juices, Aki. lol. What do you think of it now....

The furniture was sparse, but Gladys had arranged the little she had to turn it into a cosy, warm room.

Thank you so much for the lovely review and the six stars, my friend. Biggest hugs for the help!! xxx Sandra

Apologies for not keeping up with your story! From what I have just read, you have improved outa' sight since you started writing this book? What century did this take place? I thought the descriptions of the attack were great and keep on writing my friend. Have spoken to poor Dean!

Thank you so much for the 6 stars, dear Kay, and the complimenting review!! :)) That's what I love about Fanstory, people are so keen to help you improve. I've really learnt a lot. This story is set in the mid 1800s, so Veronica is having a hard time researching some of the things that have happened. Take a look at the synopsis, the link is at the bottom of is part. Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

We have bargains like that after Christmas, it's the best time to buy anything, the only trouble is, I've never got any spare cash left after I've bought all the pressies. :( I'm thinking of making my own cards next year and putting my own verse inside. It will be a personal touch. I'll cover yours in chocolate!! lol. Your father, Linda, he is alive. All the time you let him come close in your dreams he is telling you he is still there for you. Love never dies, it stays with you all the time. I felt my husband with me all the time until he knew I was alright. But, he'll wait for me as do all the people we've loved. Hey, I'll get to see you as well!! Go and buy your bras, LOL!! And make sure you get the right size. My mother, bless her heart, heard on the television a young girl calling her boobies rose buds, from that moment on, Mum called hers hanging baskets, LOL, I do so miss her. Big hugs dear friend. xxx

    LOL...LOL...that's funny...hanging baskets...I think I got some good bras...I hope...
ok...just have Joe deliver the chocolate...LOL...or card...
I think it will be wonderful to make your own cards...it truly is a personal touch...my husband gave me cards like that
    and I loved it...

I know Pop is with me...I can just feel him here...I do miss him soooo much...still have trouble looking at his picture...breaks my heart...sigh...I just think of how much my mother misses him...
well it's almost dinner...catch ya later my sweet angel...lots of love you...Linda xxoo

A spirit doesn't have to worry about a physical body. They can go through anything that stands in their way. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

This is very well written, my friend. The stones were a great idea. I have been gone so much that I'm lost as to what has happened recently, but enjoyed reading anyway. Take care, my friend~Debbie
