Hello Linda: I am loving these moving pictures that you post. What are they video clips? What do they call them?

I love this piece because I totally know about painful memories and yes they do still burn so painfully within my heart and will never be forgotten. This is a strong subject and I write well about it. I was happy to see your expression about this.

Yes indeed Linda. You never get rid of them. You don't want to think about but
sometimes they are suddenly there. You don't have control about deep feelings, they come and go...especially when it's raning all day.. Loved it. Fia

Good poem with a good picture to make it complete. Yes bad memories can over whelm us sometimes and life can be pretty miserable. I pray you are doing good my friend. I am saying a prayer for you, God bless always.

This is an excellent short poem. So very true, it's always a challenge to not let memories steer the future. A balance many struggle to find. Thank you for sharing.

I believe pain, whether physical, mental or even perhaps spirtual... has its place in letting us know that we are human and alive. I know for some people there is too much pain, which goes beyond human endurance. But for some us, the pain isn't beyond enduring and some adversity gives a person a better perspective of life and makes us able to relate to others. If the pain you speak of in your poem is unbearable, then I'm terribly sorry but it's a good poem, heart felt. Best wishes.

Reading your author's notes, I was thinking, oh, yeah...exactly. All these very relatable feelings we as a species share... but which you put into words nicely.

Excellent 5-7-5 poetry. A wonderful sentiment and well-written lines. The photograph you used is so appropriate and the moving image is an enhancement. Very well done.

When you see such a strong pairing as these words and image, one wonders which came first, the story or the photo to inspire it? The words are poignant, relate-able, crisp. The pair evoke the sense of sadness of painful memories.

I guess sometimes the painful stuff is hard to overcome. Probably because the happy stuff doesn't require too much effort to enjoy but sadness is twice as much work to get your head around.
A splendid presentation mate and a well thought out poem.
