Dear Linda, thank you for your review and the five stars . How are things with you these days, my dear? Are you taking care of yourselves and each other? The weather should start to abate fairly soon so you can look forward to sunny days and new flowers pushing through the cold earth as it warms into Spring. We ae still suffering the heat of Summer with all the birds clustering around the bird bath for cool drinks in the shade of the leafy Apricot tree. Take care of yourself little friend, and present my compliments to your dear Mother. Luvyaheaps cheers Cass

A beautiful poem, very well done indeed.

The first line in the final stanza would be my favourite, a lovely expression.

Great job, nothing at all to fault.

Take care.

Dear James, thank you for your review and the five stars. This came out all of a hurry, so I scribbled it down and spent the next days editing and re-editing.. the result is satisfactory and rather pleasing. Thanks for your kind remarks cheers Cass

This poem of an emotion, Hope, presented in three, ABCB stanzas, takes the reader to a definition, example, and metaphor for a state of expectation of a promise being fulfilled. Hope is sometimes all that matters.

This is a lovely poem about a wonderful emotion. We all need to have hope in our lives, for our families, ourselves and our future, because without hope what do we have to hold on to? Hope allows us to dream. You do a great job in expressing what hope is all about. I wish you good luck in the contest.

Dear Friend, thank you for your review and the five stars. I was going to enter this in the contest, but when I looked for it in the listing, I couldn't find it. So I thought , Oh well never mind I'll just stick it in my portfolio and see what happens. Goodness me. Fourteen reviews and counting. Who needs contests? cheers Cass

It is nice how you used hope with the
senses- taste, smell, (sound) hearing, touch and sight. Feeling is the sixth.
It says that emotion is your seventh sense.
Found under Enlightened Feeling.

I would say you did a very good job in writing this poem and it rhymes well.

Good luck in the contest.

Cass,

This is so lovely that I had to give you my last six star rating. I love the gentle feeling and all the ways hope hangs out there. I'm having issues with cabin fever because of our deep freeze winter weather and that it's always so dark and gloomy. Your poem shot me with a dose of energy that should get me through a few more days. Nice rhymes add that special touch.

Joy xx

Dear Joy, Thank you for your review and the awesome SIX stars. I know about "cabin fever" but not at present as we're part way through our Summer and I'm enjoying the warmth in my arthritic carcass. We have a wet, cold winter though, and I do get twitchy and irritable being cooped up inside and can't get out the door fast enough at the first opportunity.

A very well-written poem about hope. It is the only thing that we cannot go without. When there is no hope everything is hopeless. We can find hope in the simplest things around us in our daily lives.
