Great subject, I love oceans. I am a novice poet at best so forgive me if my review is silly. I am merely offering alternatives to consider. I thought this was a nice read but didn't feel emotions from it. I thought it had good description but of senses more than the emotions from the senses, IMHO. Maybe consider going a little deeper with how the senses made you feel, again, IMHO. Anyway, I did enjoy reading it, thank you for the work.

I really love the approach that you used to describe the ocean. Your poem provides the reader incredible imagery (hearing, seeing, touching, smell, and tasting). I love the repetition. In its simplicity, the poem pours pure beauty.

I love the picture of the ocean. The ocean is so vast and every bit of what you said and maybe more. This is a very lovely written poem of emotions. I have been to the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, there seemed to be never ending and so beautiful. Sherman541

I can't think of a better person to write a poem about the ocean that somebody called mermaids. I spent 20 years in the navy and have had similar feelings about the ocean. It is all the things you write about in your poem.
I think your title, artwork, and specific word choices were a perfect combination to capture a mood or sentiment for the sea. It is truly a wonderful place. Your poem served to remind me of it. I know your notes state you aimed for emotion, but I felt it was more sensory, appealing to them all. Great job.
