I really like your poem; it's really fun :) And you made a 5-7-5 poem even in the midst of complaining about how tedious(?) it is--to write something so short and get the syllables correct.

Cute, witty, pithy. Nice drawing that adds to the playfulness of the poem and therefore is a strong pairing. Good luck in your contest and enjoyed the humor.

This Life of a........raises a hearty chuckle -what an interesting way to spend time..not counting sheep but counting syllables ...it goes on and on and on....well done ..

I see on the web a bard was a very important trusted person.

I think this is a good entry for the 'The Life of a .....' writing prompt.
Short and sweet, to the point.
