Actually only the initial meeting was made up, the rest of it is very real. We have been together for 46 years and still going strong.

This is a perfect love poem. The vivid details made your work come alive for me, as did the fairy tale ending. The image is a perfect compliment. This may not be a true story but it is obvious that you know what "love" is. Check the last line for typo: my, change to may

Thank you. I am sorry that your relationship did not last and did not remain happy. I am pleased to say that my wife and I have been married for f44 years and together for 46.

I'm always on the lookout for impressive word rhyme combinations or phrases, or descriptions. You got me today with, "From some hidden reserve". That will stay with me all day. I like it when a poet or writer takes the time to choose their words carefully, not just the first thing that pops out of their head. So, I say to you, well done!
It was nice reading the story of how you first met your wife. I also love the way you have described her body now that a few years have passed. You are one classy guy.

Than you. Even though my first meeting with my wife of 44 years and counting, the outcome is very much the same as that of which I wrote.
