-I like the artwork.
-Very good use of dialogue, Ulla.
-The story flows from beginning to
end, and it is easy to follow what
each character is saying.
-It sounds like Miss Prickly might
not have been happy with the
curtains with a name like that!
-I think the decision of the
characters was a good one!
-A good entry; good luck.

Who knew that curtains can cause such a fuss?
This is an excellent dialogue only story and we can get a clear picture of the discussion and the opposing arguments.
Very well done.

Lol, this had me giggling all the way through. It can't be easy to write a dialogue only piece, but you have done really well. Poor Miss Prickly - I wonder if she would have preferred the original curtains - you can never tell!

I'm glad you're home safe and well, and the sun is shining.

Thank you so much, Alexis, and for the lovely stars. Who can tell, maybe she would have love to have them. But that was not to be. Thank you so much again. Tomorrow is to be much cooler but still nice. Ulla xxx

Very clever little scene. I like the curtains. For a bedroom, at least. I had no idea what she was designing... thought it was clothing. I suppose curtains need a designer too. There are a lot of jobs out there, if someone knows how to do them! :)

This is a great dialogue and the ending is surprising and hilarious.
I also like the name you've chosen for the neighbor: Miss Prickly indeed!
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Heck, that's not really a bad idea at all.
Besides, a little compromise on the parts of both parties involved in an argument can go a long way towards diffusing a potentially volatile situation.
This is very good, Ulla.
I had no trouble discerning who was speaking when, and I noticed no errors.

Hi Ulla,

Very nice interplay between your two conversationalists here. The story is clear and precise... a dirty mind indeed... lol

Yes, yes, Yes, Ulla, this is excellent. I just reviewed someone else's dialogue only writing before yours an yours made a qualitative leap, allowing me to pinpoint what made your superior.

Without using names, the characters are very distinctive in their voices and word choice. Their personalities come through. One is a interior decorator who takes pride in the created curtains while the other feels that the explicit curtains are too much:

I know they are woven into the brocade in gold and delicate brown tones, but if I may say so they are rather explicit.

Furthermore, this person's feelings are hurt when the opinions offered are rebuffed:

See what I mean? I can't ever say what I really think. You always say you want my opinion, but when I give you one you reject it outright, and don't look at me like that!

There is tension and conflict in their exchange as well as a happy ending:

I've given it some thought. What about we'll swap our bedroom curtains with hers. She'll never know the difference, and we'll have your master piece in our room. What do you think?

I think you have a dirty old mind.

This is brilliant, top notch writing that reminds me of the scripts I read and performed in acting class in which we were given dialogue with no descriptions.

I wish you much success with your superb entry. Thank you for sharing, for entertaining, and for inspiring.
