Hi there;
Thank you for sharing this lovely five-seven-five. I call it by this name because the Haiku is a completely different type of poem. While the syllable count is the same in some Haiku, there is a need for a kigo or reference to a season and a satori which is the 'AHA' moment.

Usually, the parameters of the poetic form are made clear within the directions for the contest, and you can always check with other online sources, such as PoetryShadows.com. These sites are a great resource in learning how to write poetry,

Excellent

I was amused by the statement a boss who worked with young people once said that the current batch not only did not know anything, they did not even suspect anything. We owe most of what we have because of somebody saying I wonder what would happen if we did this or combined that. I believe that curiosity took us to the Moon, brought us back and made us think about tackling Mars.
