I can see I have missed many chapters of this story. I'll keep reading until I catch up. this is such a fantastic story. I hope you'll still talk to me when you're rich and famous and having tea with J.K. Rowling.

LOL Joy!! If I was half as good as J.K I'd be smiling! Thank you, my dear friend, for reading all the past chapters, you are so nice. I hope you are continuing to feel better. Just keep resting. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

OOHHHH...goosebumps! I love, love, love the way you had her be whisked back in time. Such a visual...and holding a piece of chocolate.

This was a good chapter. You have to have those 'filler' chapters to show the 'leg work' of figuring out your next move and this was interesting. Sometimes ppl have a hard time making 'those' chapters fun to read. You did very well.

Off to catch up on more of this delicious story! :-)

Happy New year, by the way.

I love chocolate, too much, I'm afraid. Trouble is, someone keeps sneaking a some in and 'hiding' it at the back of my fridge! LOL. Thank you so very much for reading this without any 'reward' on it, that is so nice of you. The allusive Jacob is obviously somewhere, but England is a huge place when you think the only transport for the poor was their feet! The world just isn't an option at all. But, we will see what Veronica has up her sleeve. -lol, Biggest hugs, always my wonderful friend. :) Sandra xxxxxx

I've sent you a PM. xxx

Once again you've done a wonderful job writing this addition to your novel. I'm wondering what information Veronica's going to find out this time and will the limited information she discovered at the Records Office be of any help.

Good chapter, Sandra. I have to admit I have lost what Veronica's purpose is. I think it's just been a while since I've read this book. I am still enjoying it!

I frowned and looked over at Mildred, but all I got from her was raised eyebrows and a nodding head. --Recommend putting this into a separate paragraph.

'Hmm, yes, tis alright, Doctor James, she's still with us,' she said when I yelped; and they both burst out laughing. -- 'tis, short for it is. I think just a comma instead of a semi-colon here.

Take care,
Russell

Hi Russell. yes it's easy to get lost with the twists and turns happening in this book. I am going to write a long synopsis and put it on separately for all who have missed some parts. I'm pleased you've gone back, though. Thank you! :) Sandra xxx

Enjoyed your story. Good analogy between the wine and the chocolate. Great dialogue between characters and interaction between characters. I like the idea of time travel especially as a woman. I look forward to the next part. I wasn't sure if the contractions were meant to be a part of the dialogue or to enhance the dialogue.

-A very good chapter, Sandra.
-Excellent background on the census information.
-After the disappointment about it, however, Mildred adds humor the way
only she can after they get home:
* 'I'll put the kettle on,' Mildred said before going to the kitchen. 'That'll perk the spirits up...'
* '... You an' all your dead ghosties is quite turnin' me brain.'
-James did have a good idea about Joe and Daveth asking around.
-Now we have to wonder where Ver. will be next!

Mildred is everyone's favourite, lol. James did have a good idea, :)) Thank you so much, my dear Pam for another of your wonderful reviews and for all the lovely stars. They always delight me when I see them shining at the top of your review. Poor Veronica, she always finds more problems to solve, her head must be thundering! Big hugs, dear friend. :) xxx

"Oh, Lordy, Miss Sandra, I'm everyone's favorite?! Well, I'll be." James did have a good idea. You are welcome for the review and stars, Sandra. I don't know how Ver. keeps up!!

LOL! Oh, Pam, you are so funny! I just read it out to my husband, Graham, he laughed, he likes Mildred, too! I'm going off to bed with a huge smile on my face. :)) Night, night my dear friend. xxx

Hello Sandra,
Another fine chapter in times gone by and time still here
"Argall" sounds like the perfect name for Jacob,
perhaps referring to the peaceful mission where he grew up or his personality.
Now if he were an American Indian, he'd be known as Jacob Whitehair
Names often did refer to occupations or lineage, like John(son) or Robert(son)
I wonder what Stoner's origin might be: quarry man, mason,
or someone who lived a "high" life
It might have been helpful to know when he died, sometime before 1898.
Death records often contain lots of information.
From wine to chocolate, great connection
Perhaps Joe did start making "Mildred's Choco recipe.
Hope you had a wonderful, slightly-white Christmas
It's snowing here, as I write Brrr....

I hadn't thought of that. There would be more information in the records regarding Jacob's death. Thank you for that, Robert, I'm going to do that in my main manuscript. Pam suggested something to me as well in the previous part, and I'm going to use that, too. Sometimes I'm too close to the story to stop and think of the obvious.

Moving on! Stoner ... living the high life! I wish!! It makes sense now you've mentioned it the connection of 'son' slapped on the end of John and Robert, they were clever people back then, weren't they! My maiden name, is Mannakee. It was traced back to a monastery in Ireland. Apparently one of my ancestors had the job of locking all the doors and gates, and they called him the 'Man of the Key.= gradually changing to 'Mannakee' There's some fascinating stuff tucked away in those archives. :)

Thank you so much for the lovely review, Robert, and for all the stars. Oh, No, it's not snowing here, in my part of England, we haven't had it too bad at all. Not like so many of you are. I don't think I'd survive in temperatures that low! Keep warm, and look after Pam, she is so much like me, she must feel the cold, I just know it! Big hugs, my friend. xx Sandra x

Six stars for the chocolate and wine and lovely chapter! Ahh, she's back in time and we know where she must be going if she's holding a piece of chocolate.... MY house! Um, no, probably Joe's.

Nice investigative work for Veronica and Mildred and James with the ability to connect the dots.

Okay, where's the next chapter? :-)

Very good. Great realistic dialogue. Your characters interact well with each other. The ending leaves me baffled. It makes me want to come back and find out what is going on.
