That's a cool version of the ocean and how forceful and serene it can be at the same time. Beautifully written Dolly. You consistently delight me through your craft. I am a fan!!!

I enjoy seeing the ocean but I'm afraid I'm a land lover. The sea is powerful and beautiful and you captured that essence in this poem.
Lovely abcb rhyme and good use of alliteration throught.

Well done

This is a remarkable piece, I love the rhyme and rhythm it carries throughout. You have described the waves with much imagery. Nicely done!

You have a vivid use of words that captures the feel of the ocean. It is storming here on Cape Cod so your poem makes me want to be somewhere warm and tropical. "The salty brine's divine" is a creative use of words that captures the taste of the ocean. Your poetic form appeals to the senses.

I love the ocean, but it can be deadly. It's power is great. You captured the duel personality of this great beast. I can really see how surfing is man against nature, it must be thrilling, I
am too much of a coward to go up against such a powerful beast.

Good morning, Dolly

Enjoyed the poem. Out of 6's. Loved the duality of the waves -- their soothing sounds, the joy they bring when boating yet the death and destruction the massive waves release once they strike the coast.

take care and stay safe,

Ray

Thanks Ray for your thoughtful review, you can never trust the sea, it is volatile and sometimes like a wild animal, love Dolly x

Well done, this poem is beautiful, colourfully expressed, the spirit of adventure, enjoyment in the ride is well explored, rules for practice is reminded. DR ALCREATOR

This is a fun one to read as you play with words, rhyming here and there, using visual words like tints of paint to orchestrate your scenes. The patterns in the picture you used to depict this poem is very appropriate - multiple tints and textures.

I feel an undercurrent with your water story - like watching, imagining, enjoying the freedom of the sea - maybe even fantasizing; the sea is not contained, yet some other aspect of life beckons us back - where we are controlled. Yet, one can identify with the sea, that she will be as she will be; and, each phase will pass ... with success (if one does their best).

I enjoyed this journey
