Very good view from Bernie's side. How easy it is to please our doggies. They just want to know they have pleased us. Such loyalty is unknown to cats or other pets. I've had both, and I would choose a dog any day. :)

Hi, Phyllis;
Thank you for the R&R. You are right; the cats we've had over the years would never be this much fun during a move. They would simply hide under the bed,

I enjoyed this. Especially after four or five horror and thriller stories. But I guess from the perspective of Howie and Bernie, every day is a thriller. Isn't it amazing how they get so much satisfaction from a simple ball.
It sounds like you are moving. And the dogs are having some attention getting fun.
What really makes this little story work is the animal perspective. By putting human words into the minds of your dogs, you give the reader a little reflection of their human habits. Computing, packing, etc. I quit looking for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors after a few paragraphs. I just immersed myself in the story and read along with their exploits.

Hi, Dan;
Thank you so much for continuing to read my work. I'm glad you are enjoying it and appreciate your comments.
Yes, I'm in the process of moving into a new house from an apartment. It is the first house we will own in about fifteen years. It's an exciting move for me, but I imagine a bit daunting for the dogs.

Anything that can make packing up to get ready for moving day a little more pleasant is a welcome relief. I don't envy you. That's why I never plan to move again.

Hi, Thomas;
Thank you so much for the R&R. The move is going well. The big truck won't be here until the 20th of the month, so I have plenty of time to get things ready. The biggest roadblock is packing up my library. But, I'm happy with the knowledge that this is the last time I will be moving them,

So you are in your new home and unpacking, aren't you?
It was great to read this from Bernie's point of view.
At the moment I'm reading a book called Timbuktu by Paul Auster in which the story is told partly through the eyes of a dog. I also read The Art of Racing in The Rain some years ago, the narrator is a dog. If you haven't read it, I recommend it.
Thanks for sharing this enjoyable story.

Hi, Maria;
No, not moved into the new place yet. The closing process is just about done - we are meeting with the solicitors next Monday to close the deal. I have the big moving truck scheduled for the 20th, so I'm just getting things packed up here. The movers will do all of the heavy liftings.
Thank you for the book recommendations,

Not long to wait then. You'll soon be in your brand new home.

Oh Patty they are so funny. Me two wouldn't be bothered by such chaos as long as their dinner was served on time.
I could visualise the sad and puzzled looks when mommy was getting grumpy with their attempts to help out.
Hope you all have a wonderful 2018.
hugs
Freda
PS could I ask how many certs are used to offer over one dollar to readers

Hi, Freda;
Thank you so much for the R&R. I'm glad you enjoyed the latest Bernie and Howie story.
The question about the number of member dollars to get over $1 is complex. It is based on the number of entries already on the list, and the weird system. Each $2.95 member pump will take you up three cents until you reach .80, and then it will take you up two cents until you reach $1. I spend $9.95 for the base certificate and about 17 - 22 member cent pumps for my posts.
Hope this helps,
~patty~

Patty,
This was a fun story from Bernie's POV. You did a great job 'getting into the head of Bernie' to write about his thoughts. I enjoyed how the story developed. It's interesting to think what our precious pets think of us. Best wishes with the move. Jan

Smiling from ear to ear, Bernie dashed after his pal, Howie. There was nothing better in life than a happy Mistress and an excellent battle for the ball. It was a good day. ' I always love hearing about your dogs. It always makes my day that bit brighter! This is such a sweet story I would love a whole book about your pets they are so sweet and adorable and this is very well written xxlove Meia

Hi, Meia;
Thank you so much for the R&R of this latest doggy story. I'm glad these stories make your day. I do plan to expand them to full chapters and make a collection of them for a book. (I will let you know when that project is complete.)

This is darling. I love reading about Bernie and Howie. Mine are camped out on my bed when I'm on my computer because kitty (Jewel) is in here with me with the baby gate up. Your story flows well and the reader can follow the mood and antics of the pups very well. Good luck with your packing. Marilyn

Hi, Marilyn;
Thank you so much for the R&R. It sounds like your animals have a few things figured out. I would love to have a kitty now that we are moving into a house, but I think the boys would feel it takes up too much of my attention.

It is far better for dogs to play, than to fight. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is very good imagery.
