You make the dogs come alive here, give them personalities and character, and looking at the world from a dog's perspective puts our lives in perspective for us as well. The struggles of moving seem to lose significance here, the world revolves around relationships with others, the battle over the ball seems to take precedence over packing all the stuff up. Winning over hearts is the main thing. estory

I loved this part. I enjoyed the chase and Bernie's worry about his mistress. We know that our pets are aware of change and it can be worrisome for them. Just that little smile made all the difference to Bernie, now he's happy, he can enjoy his game a lot more. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra x

This is a very cute story. I have dogs too and can relate to everything Bernie was doing. I did notice one small error with the word 'sighed', as in Bernie sighed. You wrote: "... Bernie knew he was in for a Howie trick. Bernie signed deeply. He didn't have time for this."
