Maria, this is a great entry in the picture this challenge. In the Bible it tells us to redeem the time as the days are short. Patricia

Tick Tock says the clock lol. Time is one of those things that can't be challenged, indulged, pushed, pulled or anything else! A brilliant start to your new year mate! xoxo Kiwi

Very good, Maria. I love the flow of your poem on time. it is intuitive and deep. Your free verse flows like a cascading waterfall. Your metaphors are vivid and evocative:
But time is
A cruel master.
It's liquid gold
That can't be tamed.
I particularly love your closing image:
It's quicksilver
That slips
Between
Our
Fingers...
You then cap this with "Sometimes" to show the malleability of time.
This is a fine response to the Clocks event. Thank you for sharing.

This is so true, when I worked I would watch the clock and pray for 5pm when I could leave and wanted my weekends to last forever, your poem is spot on about time! Love Dolly x

And it's a lifetime of wonderful moments, despite its inexorable march, it's history in the making, and can be found on the pages of others. Well done Maria, an excellent free verse poem, I love poems framed in time, well done, blessings, Roy

Liquid gold that is more precious than any thing else because once it is gone it is gone. We think we have all the time in the world, don't we? Nicely done
