My mother-in-law died of Pancreatic Cancer in August of 2012, Lois.
Just a few days shy of her 58th birthday.
There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss her and think of her, especially during the holidays.
She did love Christmas so.
It's not easy to let a dear friend or beloved member of our families go. But go we all must, one day.
So sorry to hear of your loss.

This work has reached the exceptional level

The agony came through every word written in this very condense piece. The message was said with such grace and dignity, yet so bold and abrupt it crushes the heart.

This is a beautiful and tranquil write, coming to terms with a friends death affects the living and grieving is a long hard road, but your write has a calm mature quality to it, love Dolly x

A very poignant and well written poem. I lost my best friend with pancreatic cancer. She was the sister I never had, we'd been such close friends since childhood. Her passing changed my life, it aged me. It is nearly four years but I miss her so much. Sorry for the rant but your poem stirred up such deep feelings. Thank you for sharing.

This speaks about the state of mind and feeling seeing or being beside someone dies and instant feeling comes that the departed soul has greeted The Father; I like. DR ALCREATOR

Even when we know they are gone and in his care, we still find it so hard to be without them. But to read your little poem does at least think that they are in good care, and I think you have said this in a sweet way that may give some of us comfort.

I've never had to watch a human die. It must be a terrible experience, especially when it's one so close. I like the first stanza more than the second, but the second serves its own purpose.

This is a fine tribute to your late friend.

This is a lovely poem of tribute to a lost friend.
Sometimes we just need to share these things to help us cope.
Your lovely picture is a good match ad well.
