Although this thought came to you from nowhere, there are many people who feel this kind of loneliness in the world and carry this meloncholy with them, a poignant write, love Dolly x

A very well-written poem from great inspiration from the muse. It is a fact that when a line is stuck in our head, it is time to go sit down and start writing.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

It's a marvelous first line. But I am thinking about what that wind symbolizes. The poem speaks of regret. In the third stanza, the wind had a "warning song" like a conscience trying to keep the narrator/persona from acting upon the "cruelty." But by the "end of the day," the persona isn't free to accept forgiveness through prayer because the "wind," the guilty conscience, blows his "words away." So sad. It's a well constructed poem in rhymes, internal rhymes, assonance and alliteration!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful review.

You told your dreadful story quite well. I felt the misery oozing from each verse. The rhyme scheme is easy to follow too. The gloomy picture also agrees with the somber mood of the poem Congratulations on a job well done.

This is a fine, emotional poem about wind that reminds the memories and sings the songs I liked the feeling and togetherness and joy and excitement and reminders; DR ALCREATOR

Thoroughly enjoyed this well crafted piece you have delivered my friend. This thought in particular captured my attention. "I ignored the ancient wind's warning song."
God bless!
