W lovely story, setting and the picture is great. I am not sure of the use of the quotation marks used. Merry Christmas.

Thank you so much for reading this part of my story. The quotation marks are what the publishers insist on these days. I always used the double until I had my first book published and was told. It's not widely known and it should be. Thanks again! :) Sandra xxx

A nice long read with no punctuation or grammar errors. Some readers will skip it because of its length. It's nice that Veronica has such a loving family surrounding her.

Thank you so much, Tom. I know many won't read it. Just so long as the ones who have been following the story don't mind the length, I'm fine with that. I'm really pleased you noticed that about Veronica's happy family, they need to be to cope with her shooting off into the past! lol.:) Sandra xx

It was refreshing to see the 'Powers to be' once again and to know that they all feel that Veronica has things under control. James once again is super helpful with his suggestion to go to the Cornwall Record Office. And of course Mildred is so very supportive. They will solve the mystery, they will find Jacob and they will find a way to save little Francis. This was as usual so very enjoyable and entertaining to read. I am so glad you shared Sandra. Thank you. Season's Blessings.

Thank you so much for your fabulous review, Alie! You've sussed it all out and now Veronica has to make it all happen, LOL. I'll have a quick chat with her to let her know you have complete faith in her, James and Mildred! Thanks, my friend, I'm so pleased you are still enjoying my story. Big hugs, and have a wonderful Christmas/ holiday. :) Sandra xxx

A nice long chapter for a change. I don't quite recall where Francis is staying. Had the family from the past taken him in? I seem to remember something like that. My memory is too poor to read chapters so far apart, but you can only write when you have time, so you'll have to do some explaining to this tired old brain. :)

Thank you, my dear friend. I know what you mean about memory lapses. Someone said about me yesterday that I couldn't remember anyone's name but I could reel off all my Hedgerow Capers characters just like that! Age can be so devious in what it does to us! Francis is still at the Manor house with his unwilling uncle, Sir John. Veronica is trying to find Francis' father and let him know he is a dad. That's her plan at the moment. Thanks for the lovely review! ) Sandra xxx

This end part has a good catch in the beginning; I liked and enjoyed its soft and simple plot development to mature the plot within setting and nice manifestation of climax with a curious ending. DR ALCREATOR

I like that she comes back to her own time, but I have to say I like when she travels because I like the "period-ness" of it. :-)

I'm so intrigued as to what is to come... I wonder do you know, or does it unfold for you as your write? I've had stories go both ways.

Still enjoying this SO much.

Veronica won't be in her own time for long, she has too much to do. But her priority now is to try and find Jacob. Thank you, my friend, for yet another lovely review. :)) I have an idea where I'm going, and have the ending pretty clear in my mind, but I don't stick rigidly to a plan. You never know what these characters will decide to do, they can be quite stroppy when I try to make them do something. LOL. Biggest ever hugs, my friend and thank you! :) Sandra xxx

As your story continued, I was delighted to finally get a glimpse at the powers behind the scene, and was pleased to find that they seemed to be compassionate and concerned. I am also, as usual, impressed with the rich level of details that you add to your story, such as the baby reaching out to her upon waking, Ann's excitement, and the intimacy between Veronica and James.

I didn't find any nits. I'm wondering if Veronica gets to meet the powers-to-be. Well, guess I will out in the future. (Maybe I could travel there:P) LOL! Hope your season is going well.

The powers that be? I think this is the first time I've come across them. That's what I get when I start reading a story mid-point or something. I'm als intrigued about why they mention Mildred as if she is a member of their cabal (or whatever circle of power they are).

Ah, I now took the time to read the cast of characters again, and that cleared the mystery of the powers that be.

You've delivered another fabulous chapter with all the great story-telling talent all your own, Sandra. I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

'I'm fine, Mildred. A good night('s) sleep is all I need,' I told her as I patted her hand reassuringly.

Merry Christmas,
Akinyi Prinzessin von K'Orinda-Yimbo

I love your name, Aki. To be an actual Princess, how wonderful. Not that I can pronounce it! Thank you so much for another amazing review, my friend, and all those lovely stars!! I'll go and make that correction now. Oh, the Powers That Be have been watching Veronica for a long time, but although she believes some force is instigating her time-travelling, she doesn't know who they are. They sent Veronica back to live the life of Mrs Humphries (in the first book) whom she'd wronged, as a punishment. As she did so well, they have brought her into the past again to put right a mess-up they created! I'm so pleased you liked them. As for Mildred, hmm!! :)) Thanks again, my friend. Big hugs. :) Sandra xxx

Hahahaha! That's why I shortened it to plain APKY. Who wants to break tongues trying to pronounce their name...

Hi Sandra. Your writing is very clear and detailed which helps the reader to follow along well. The list of characters at the end is also helpful. A fine segment to your ongoing story. Marilyn
