Not everyone celebrates Christmas like the westerners, but these children are used to it and don't miss what they don't have. Have a wonderful Christmas however you celebrate it, love Dolly x

No, in much of the world nothing is known of Saint Nick and gift-giving. Only in the temperate zones is the winter solstice a celebrated event. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing my limericks.

Your limerick is spot on for the challenge.
The meter is right and the rhyming is good. You picked a good place to write about. 8-)

I hope things are better than when I was Navy and kept an ear to the ground, and Marxism was also atheism. The refugees
are indeed mostly young men as lean and fit as soldiers, but some family groups are in the midst of bad moves...thanks very much for reading my limericks.

Both are well executed Limericks. The syllable counts are spot on and the meter perfect when read aloud - which is where most folks tend to blow it. Nicely done and thank you very much for sharing it.

What does wee and tot mean. Other than that a pretty interesting first stanza. The first and second line rhyme pretty well. Did the russia really vow there is no god? Sorry just curious. Keep up the great work!

In the USSR days, as communists, they declared against religion, never very successfully. A tot is an archaic name for a toddler and wee in Scotland was small. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

A very well-written Christmas limerick suite. Not all the countries have snow on Christmas and can be very hot summer temperatures where Santa rather wants to swim than to put on his hot red suite and beard.

People gripe here when the season zips past with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s, but I love it. One Thanksgiving we had minus eight F...tough year. THanks for reading my limericks.

Can't help you with the challenge, Red. I'm not in the poop.
I like your limericks. From the sands of no Santa, to the grip of no God.
I wonder which one wins the battle for hearts and minds?
Peace, Lee

I dunno, Lee. I heard some mutters that the Lord's Prayer was not good enough for Ol' Francis. The shoes of the swishyman.
Yeah, I heard a Baptist preacher once declare that the beast with all the heads and horns was the Catholic Church and the Pope was the Antichrist. The battle has raged until folks are losing interest. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

This is a nice Christmas limerick produced.
Humour retains.
Cultural appreciation is well preserved.
I enjoyed the rhymes and flow of thoughts.

The Cartecay River froze over, yes, in Georgia, so I snapped it with my 35MM. Thank you very much for reading and reviewing.
