O-h-h-h-hhhh...this is a very well written Minute, DD.
Proper syllable count, exceptional rhyming, and a dark, spooky theme to go along with it.
I've read several of the entries for this contest and in my humble opinion, this is one of the best I've read thus far.
Of course, it could just be that I'm partial to the subject matter.

O-h-h-h-hhhh...this is a very well written Minute, DD.
Proper syllable count, exceptional rhyming, and a dark, spooky theme to go along with it.

Hi, there is pain here and those imageries are heartbreaking, specially in poetry, they become bigger drops of tears. The words are well chosen and say a lot more than they are intended t. Well done.

I especially like your involving first stanza. The second follows nicely, until it runs into a misspelling. I'm sure you meant the wind made those trees 'creak' and sway.
I have one serious reservation about the third (which I wouldn't point out if we weren't buddies). 'Skillfully,' while rhyming nicely, implies the growing crescendo was inspired by some conductor, and instantly grates. 'Chillingly,' while not as good for the rhyme, I believe, would work well. Of course, you might come up with something better.
