A very well-written Ghazal about my favorite comfort food and craving that I should forget. Very little people can resist the temptation of chocolate in any form. We should not overuse it at all.

Oh dear, I'm a chocoholic! I just can't have them in the house or they will be gone before I even realise it. I've read a few of these now, but until they came on here, I'd never heard of this style. Your poem really brought me in, just the mention of chocolate and I'm there. I can imagine the withdrawal symptoms of not having any, that would be me! Well done, Sis Cat, I did enjoy reading yours. Your poem was written for me as I am truly a chocolate lover and try not to buy it as I just gobble it all up! This is an unusual form of poetry and not to all tastes but I think it works here with chocolate as the subject, only trouble is I need to eat chocolate now! The best chocolate in the world is Belgium chocolate and I have visited the chocolate houses there and indulged myself, a joy to read, love Dolly x

As I said with your first ghazal "Your arms," I think these poems are more effective when read out aloud. You will become known as the ghazal poet of FanStory! lol

Oh, yes, Dip, read out loud. After listening to poets and singers recite or sing ghazals in their own language of Urdu or Pashto, I am determined to perform mine in English at open mics. The poems are meant to be heard out loud. Thank you for your review.

Now I have to admit, I didn't know a ghazal poem from a gazelle until I started reading them here as presented by the Potlatch Challenge Group folks.
I find them to be a very intriguing form of poetic expressionism.

Yes, Dean, some English writers skip the rhyme next to the last word of the second line, which is why some purists call these ?bastard ghazals.? It is important that I learn all of the key components of ghazals. Thank you for giving my ghazal its first review and for being a solid supporter of my work.
