I like the theme of this poem. It is done well the way you show two points of view. Sometimes we think it's harder on a child. I think that it's equally hard on both parties. Thank you for sharing this point. Very well written and well done.

We had a man go missing after a fight with his girlfriend. That's been well over a year ago, probably pushing two years. They had kids together. No one knows what happened to him. It's crazy. I can't imagine what they go through everyday. I think this sums it up.

Your poem focuses on a missing dad, whether he left of his own accord or something happened to him the reader doesn't know. In the child's eyes all he/she knows is that daddy isn't there. A good write and message. Children need the security of two parents. Marilyn

A very well-written heartfelt and thought-provoking poem. A child will always seek a parent who disappears from their life when it is willingly or unwillingly they cannot forget the days of the parent's presence and how their absence influences them.
