Wow! Medical procedures are so difficult and the complications that arise can be scary and frustrating and your story explains all those scenarios. Thank you for sharing.

Here in the USA Nurses must follow doctor's orders...they could not have initiated examinations nor ordered tests without authorization...I say this because as a retired RN I am very defensive about how often nurses are blamed for the lack of a doctor's attentive care of the patient....
Just making point.....

It seems that the entire medical profession in incompetent, at times.
Such a simple thing as determining the problem should be obvious to them.
Sorry to hear you are going through such a trying time.

The writing is good and it flows well. It goes to show that a good writer can write about anything at all. Great job , and I know not if this is true or not but it certainly carries the air that it is true. If it is true then good luck on getting well. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Middle aged males seems to suffer from bladder problems. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is good imagery.

It's hard to know what the right thing to do is when you are not getting the right information to make an informed decision. I hope you will get this sorted and Robert is on the track to feeling much much better. xoxo Kiwi

So, was Robert misdiagnosed, Ine, or did they get everything figured out?
I sincerely hope you're both doing much better these days.
The last time I was in the hospital for congestive heart failure one of the IV drips they administered made going to the bathroom very difficult. They were afraid they were going to have to give me a catheter.
So was I!
All they did was remove that particular IV for awhile and everything was back to normal.
Thanks heavens!
Here's to your continued good health.

Oh no! I wish I had a magic wand. If I couldn't make Robert better maybe I could at least get you some different doctors or nurses. I hope tomorrow is a better day. You and Robert are both fighters in your own ways.

Thanks for the latest update, Ine. So sorry that you have to deal with such incompetence, that they didn't do the right treatment from the beginning. Will pray for him to get the meds tonight.
A couple of typos:
" to give hi his old antibiotic back. " (him)
I am now keeping my fingers crosses that Robert will get them tonight. (crossed)
