This is only the second piece of yours I have read today, but I am picking up similarities in your craft. I love that, makes you stand out from the crowd. I love how you intertwine several issues together.
God bless!'

This poem like many of your others has this quick, tripping, skipping gate, and the tell tale surreal imagery of moments bleeding in and out of each other, the moral and the destitute corrupting each other, trapped in their own failings. We circle and circle through this maze of struggle, and seem to go nowhere. estory

What a shame! I thought we might be about to allitrerate on all twenty consonants of the alphabet but no, only a mere twenty were in fact employed. J, K, M, Q, X and Z were omitted from this amazing sequence of iambic tetrameters. End rhyme, internal and cross rhyme also featured in what was predominantly a poem abab rhyme with occasional monorhyming quatrains. Apart from the alliteration already mention there are numerous instances of assonance consonance and an overal sense of euphony about the whole piece.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot! The content too is full of wisdom into the bargain. I am listening for the splashes as you begin to "throw all the bastards off the boat."

This has made my day. Thank you.

    Did you hear the splash Pantygynt, It was just me bailin' off my broken brained boat because today the damn thing just won't float. I am bipolar friend and compensate quite well most of the time. But confusion of the mind cannot mask it when you find symptoms of the symphony sailed and slung so glaringly
    across the whole damn site. This was a hell of a poem though. I even enjoyed reading it with my rosy-red and fiery-flushed face. Sorry friend. Time for the meds again if I can remember where and when I left them. Just hope my crazy cat did not take more than his share. Sorry good friend. It can be a pain at times but honestly I have been very successful throughout my life though a bump comes along now and then but who doesn't have a bump since we have a Trump. tom

There seems to quite a few messages woven through this long poem.
You sort of touch on a lot of things. Some of the messages are good.
It is well rhymed and has a good rhythm.

A well written poem on the ways of the world today. There's so much lying and corruption, and even so many churches are caving to deceit.

    I agree with all your comments Mel and I have no idea why or what has happened but when our symbolic leaders are also involved in "so much lying and corruption" it is quite possible there moral failure is almost like a lethal virus that is infectious to even those who are not in physical contact but have become desensitized to such degradation and incomprehensible failure of moral integrity that to rationalize it becomes almost a protective inoculation against further deleterious effects of the virus. Thank you so much Mel. tom

The plight of man's direct disease;
Reject the proud pomposity
Of tyrants whom you now appease.

We all know what the sham's about,
A fact that leaves man little doubt,
In fact, I think mankind should shout;
It's we the people have the clout.
As always, utterly amazing and bang on with the points you make, Classic. well done kind regards Meia x

This is comerative salute to the state of mind that co exists with the horrors surrounding the innocent. I read and pondered the plight described and wept alone, for alone I have no might to change this caustic complacent venues of man. We must gather the courage to stand up and be heard and maybe hope will change the dreadful mess that has been created. Well done, my friend.
Blessings,
Brigitte

"The dawning of the sun brings hope," seems to mean there is still hope for mankind if he changes his way. Rhymes are strong determined filled with spiritual hope and anticipation of better times. truly, liberty justice

Again,your verse reveals the maladies of our world. The powerful, affluent, unprincipled people dominate as inequity grows. Where is the caring for the "common good?" There is much to consider as I read these lines. The song...."You've Got To Be Carefully Taught" from South Pacific relating to teaching hatred to children is apparent in your... (the empty vessels of the mind, etc.) What appeals greatly is that your poem does not lose hope for the future. We must keep dreaming and working for a better day. Gwendolyn

This poem, Moralizing With the Masses, is an insightful look at modern man and our acceptance of shallow, tenuous powers over the lasting brilliance which seems to bob from our vision like a lighthouse on a distant shore peeks up from time to time.
