This is such a heart breaking story. The perfect way to get your readers hooked on this book lol! You are talented and crafty :) I mean that in a good way. I'm thinking somebody paid off the baby's father to go away.

I'm not saying anything, it will spoil the ending for you. Gwendolyn suffered a lot at the hands of her brother and the moron she was to marry. Sir John did love his sister, but had a problem with the boy, and of course, if it got out, their name would be ruined. The upper class would never allow that to happen. Well, Veronica does not have to worry much about Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn has more sense than what everyone gives her credit. I even thought she was going to let her brother and Randolph walk all over her. Good for Gwendolyn.

"By the time I arrived at the missionary church, I was cold, distressed, and felt so sick...'" (And covered in mud. Lol.)
"covered in mud, and soaked through." (See! Told ya!)
"He said I was too late, and that Jacob had up and left the previous morning." (Ah, darn it!)
" 'There was nothing I could do but go home. I was in a lot of trouble, but I didn't care." (Beautifully tragic. Well done.)
'Serves him right!' I told her. 'Perhaps if he'd let you choose who you wanted to marry, this wouldn't have happened.' (I concur! Jerk!)
" Gwendolyn looked as though she'd been slapped on(in) the face,"
'Then you should know that love is blind to all the obstacles that present themselves.' (For sure I know that.)
Wow, you are so good at this writing caper, mate.
Another beautiful chapter, very touching and packed with emotion.
Let's hope this helps them along.

Simply amazing story you have going once again!
I just ordered your book from Amazon I can't wait to get it and read the first story in this series. I got in on the very last of it.
This story carries on so well and I love how you can jump back and forth through time and draw us in every time.

A reporter came to see me and then sent a photographer to take loads of photos of me and my book.
