"Look, Hon. It's just as it should be. Christmas brings peace and goodwill to all - even puppies."
Hugging her to his side, the Man looked down at his wife, and said, "If only everyone had peace. Then this would be the most wonderful Christmas of all."
This was so heartwarming. Thanks for sharing more wonderful doggie tales I really do adore reading them kindest regards Meia xx

What a lovely homely feeling your story gives us, Patty, I could see it all unfolding in the wonderful way you tell it. Your husband is right, too, if only everyone had peace... what a wonderful world this would be. I really enjoyed this, my friend, you have a happy home there. :) Sandra xx

Loved this adorable Christmas story about Howie and Bernie (those two little, adorable pups) and the adventure they had watching the tree being trimmed! As you say in the ending, "... It's just as it should be. Christmas brings peace and goodwill to all - even puppies." (And I'm sure to all of God's other beautiful creatures, as well)!

Good morning, Patty: You know how much I truly love these Howie and Bernie stories so I could not resist this one. It was a doggy story well told and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing this time with us before your move. I could picture every second of it while I read it. You are such a fortunate woman. Your home sound so full of love and joy. I am really missing my Julianna now but I have good news, my husband said that we can get another puppy. I cannot bring myself to take back my Peky-Pom from my sister-in-law so I will be looking for a new puppy.
I loved this story.

Oh I truly love their stories and from their point of view even told by a narriator, it makes the whole scene come alive. Truly exceptional.

Lucky you. This will be your last Christmas in a rental. I liked hearing about the dogs. When we put the tree up, the cats immediately move into it. They climb up it and only come down to eat.

Hi, Thomas,
Cats and dogs are such different creatures when it comes to the Christmas tree. Bernie and Howie are content to blink at the lights and listen to my endless stories about each ornament,

What a lovely story. And I'm sure that it's exactly how Howie and Bernie would tell it.
You obviously have two special puppies there to share your happy life.
Thank you for sharing this Christmas moment with us.

Christmas trees are a big part of Christmas. I remember my little Cat Tiger used too hide in the tree. He thought it was there for him to play with. We all look forward to the Christmas carols and trees and presents. Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas to you. Nancy

Hi, Nancy;
I love to write things through the eyes of Bernie and Howie and as I watched them watching us put up the tree, I knew I had to write it,

Will Howie and Bernie leave the tree and ornaments alone?
Great story telling. I just do a few tiny little trees, not a big one anymore. i'm glad you got yours up:)

Hi teresa;
Yes, the boys are really good. They just sit there and watch the lights and listen to my endless stories about each ornament,

"Tail a' wag, Bernie knew something unusual..." To make this clearer I would add the apostrophe where noted, Patty...
"Hugging her to his side, the Man looked down at his wife, and said, "If only everyone had peace. Then this would be the most wonderful Christmas of all." ... Yeah. If only, right?
Hey, who could blame you for wanting to put up a tree for the very last Christmas you'll be spending at your current residence? I'm sure you've accumulated lots of great memories within those four walls, relatively speaking.
You might as well go out on a good note, right?

Hi, Dean;
Thank you for catching the nit - I put in that apostrophe. I love to write things through the eyes of Bernie and Howie and as I watched them watching us put up the tree, I knew I had to write it,
