Some people would rather be around a good pet dog than most people of their acquaintance. I love your stories about Bernie and Howie. I can recall knitting and crocheting a winder sweater for my last one, who was special, too.

Hi Patty, this is a wonderful little story from your dog's point of view, and what they want to do with or without permission. I have one dog and three cats, so I can well relate. All the best. Ulla:)))

You have a way of getting inside the thoughts of the two dogs...who like my two are almost human in their emotions. Well done.

It sounds like you all had a great time. I haven't been putting trees up at home lately. I go to my daughter's for Christmas, and cats and Christmas trees are a disaster waiting to happen, especially when there's nobody home. It's lots of fun putting theirs up.

My pets always enjoy the Christmas tree; Especially the cats. Trees are made for climbing and the pretty ornaments twist and turn when batted. LOL Christmas is so much fun.

    Hi, Barbara;
    Howie and Bernie love looking at the blinking lights on the tree. Bernie sat and watched last night until he fell to sleep. It was like watching a small child,

I forgot who Bernie and Howie are. Are they both dogs perhaps? In this story you had them watch how the Christmas tree was put up, lights and all. Of course you don't want to have a Christmas without a tree, just before you will be moving in January. No changes needed.

This is a very nice story, Patty. Bernie and Howie, as part of the family (like mine), get curious and like to join in the fun. I agree that not having a tree wouldn't seem like Christmas. Even though you're moving into your new home and have lots of packing to do--it's time to celebrate. Marilyn

    Hi, Marilyn;

    Thank you for reading the story of our Christmas tree. Bernie and Howie enjoyed watching the fun, and even now, they are laying on their bed in the living room and watching the lights,

    My tree is up but my pets aren't as curious as yours, taking it all in stride.

This is a great story. I love how you wrote most of it from the animals POV. It gave your story a cute little twist, It' very well-written, enjoyable the description and dialogue were perfect and all the characters especially the animals really came to life.

You gave this story an interesting perspective from the dog's point of view, and it was great how you personified them, gave them personalities, one a little playful, the other more determined to come out on top, running for that ball. Interesting how the dogs describe the Christmas tree as a big green thing, full of lights and little objects they don't really understand. Its the emotions, the happiness of the human masters that seem to be the cue for the animals to share in the peace and joy of Christmas. estory

Good afternoon, Patty

Ah yes, how man's best friends see, interpret and react in kind to what we do as part of the overall Christmas experience. Both our dogs love to rip apart small open boxes on Christmas eve. Enjoyed the story.

Question: Where do I find the Christmas card list of addresses?

Take care and stay safe,

Ray
