Thanks for sharing your "rainy" adventure. Better still, it has a happy ending, so what's not to like.

I liked how the spirits weren't dampened by all the small disgareements. In the end nobody got hurt either or sick. As you put it
"They were all smiles too. And you know, now that I think about it, all that grumbling I had heard at the beginning of the first rain drops seemed to have been washed away on down the river with the current. Happiness was written on the face of each and every one of us."

Hi this is a well-written story Memorial Day canoe trip my first trip in the canoe down the Forked River in Forked River New Jersey was a failure as we kept a boat more than once wasn't it was a tight squeeze a lot of bushes along the Waterside so I'm a lot of turns navigated a lot of navigation but this was well written and brings back memories thanks for that dr. Ricky
