Well rhymed and a wonderful subject. Would we all have those childhood memories that can carry over and blot out today's troubles.

In my opinion, a happy poem indeed, filled with childhood delight and experiences to treasure in memories - structure is smooth in movement, and the rhyming easy - fully compliant with the prompt. Best of luck in the contest...

Hey, looks like I got strong competition; thus, I'd better not enter this one. Your poem is so happy and photo looks like fun. Good to remember your childhood days that went by so fast. Love how you repeat your happy refrain. truly, liberty justice

Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written Quatern. Our happy days of childhood are so different from today, where children rather have fun sitting with their electronic devices than to play in the dirt like we did.

Yes, I get a little nostalgic and teary-eyed listening to and watching children play. Your poem captures not only those happy memories but happy observances of children at play today:
Just watching youngsters having fun
on jungle gyms, long slides and I
remember all those happy days
spent climbing, swinging, trying to fly.
Yes, yes, yes. In the narrator watching these children play, memories come to surface. One of the themes is unconditional friendship:
Remember all those happy days
of childhood when the only gauge
for choosing friends was "Can you play?"
and not one's gender, color, age.
In terms of rhymes, structure, and theme, your poem is a little gem. Thank you for sharing. I wish you contest success with your fine entry.
