I enjoyed reading this. My only criticism is you didn't stay on topic. I first thought you were writing about Buddhas then you switched to your friend, Fia, and then to Els and finally you Baptists minister.
She comes Just for coffee, and just for an hour. (first 'just' needs lower case 'j')

It is a nice photo. I like Buddhas, too. The figure is tranquil and usually smiling. I think the last two paragraphs could be left out because they don't relate to the story of your Buddhas. Unless, perhaps, if you could incorporate them into the story. Marilyn

I think the spelling of those are "Buddha" not "Bhudda" so you probably want to change that in the title and in the post.
It's interesting you like them. What is it that you like? I can't really see the smallest one. So glad that you keep in touch with a former Fanstorian. I don't know Dutchie but she sounds like a lovely person. Thanks for telling us about her.

I think the Buddhas fall into the category of Good Luck Charms. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. Their is very good imagery.
