This is a fine entry for the 'Witty Epitaph' contest.
Unfortunatly, I don't see the humor, what am I missing?
Also, the last two lines confuse me: Did you get someone 'the special interests' what they wanted?
Sorry, help me make sense?

Lobbyists work for special interest groups like banks, manufacturing conglomerates and special interest groups like the NRA. The job of a lobbyist is to persuade politicians to vote for legislation that will be favorable to them, such as lower tax rates or laws that will provide them with favored treatment. A successful lobbyist, that is one that convinces politicians to vote for legislation that is favorable to these entities makes big money.

Hi there;
Thank you for sharing your entry in the Witty Epitath contest. You did a great job of presenting the piece with the altered headstone. Good luck in the contest,

Thank you for the read. Upon reflection I changed to:
Lobbying was my game
Born poor, died rich
Gave the special interests
What they wanted
-
It does read a little smoother
