Dip,
Wow. This is astounding - I can't believe I know anyone who would risk trying this kind of act of nature! *smile* Kudos to you, my brave friend. Enjoyed this!

Hello Dip
Are you a surfer? Wish I was, too old now to even dare!
Wonderful word imagery. It brings out the essence of the surf and the sport, leave alone the adrenaline rush.
Best wishes

I like the metaphor of the wave being a ocean slide like the slides at water parks.
This wave seems to be a perfect mixture of the beauty and danger in nature.
Keep writing

This is very impressive, dip. I always have enjoyed watching surfing on TV. Takes a brave soul to do this and I gather that you are a surfer. Your poem rhymes well and I think this is one of the best that I have read from you. You seem enthused about this topic and your passion for the sport shows in descriptive tight writing. Marilyn

I too surf, but not as often as you. My place is called Ocean Beach the competition is fierce for every wave. And I've never had the experience you share in this wonderful
poem, but as I read it, I was vicariously on that board.
Dip, do you have Kindle?

Hi Bill let me first apologize for not getting back to on your wonderful copy on CD of Conversations. I cried many times You are such a wonderful compassionate person.
I am away at present on a surfing holiday for 10 days on a tropical island in the Indian ocean and the internet is very temperamental on the island and falls out constantly

A nice short and sweet one, D. Love the pic. The three stanzas say what they have to say and the rhyme and rhythm is just fine. Kind of makes one wonder why blue is considered a "calming" color. I doubt the surfer is feeling quiescent.

I hesitate to use the word awesome, because it is sadly overworked these days, but the picture here really is awesome. It must be the ultimate thrill to ride that. Definitely not something for the fainthearted to attempt. Your little poem here says it all.
