This nature haiku,Slippery Slope, has the appropriate syllable count and advances us to the near future where footing fails and we get to hit the slippery ground a dozen times during the winter.

I like your funny haiku of winter although funny in this format is rare this one
is entertaining. The total presentation is appropriate for a contest entry and I
think you will do well.

Thanks for the nice review. I knew that trying to be funny might not go over too well... but I was thinking outside the box lol. I had fun writing it.

Yes, there will be a lot of slipping and I invested in some boots with spikes! The best footwear I ever bought when I was in France in deep snow, amusing words, love Dolly x

Hello Anonymous Poet;
A lovely little poem about the dangers of winter. Your presentation was great, and you managed to get your point across in seventeen syllables,

This "icy grip" of winter is what I hate and dread the most. Slippery walks and ice beneath the snow drifts. You capture all that in your 5-7-5 very well.

Thanks so much for reviewing my poem. We deliver newspapers all year long so we're no strangers to slipping on ice.You just have to learn how to fall...into a nice soft snowbank, lol.

Yes, winter does happen to be quite treacherous. It's fun, though, or at least in the beginning. It gets old after a while.
Your cute poem really highlighted the fun and fear of slippery winter.
Great job,
Rhonda

Well this Nature Haiku about winter says it all doesn't it.
And the picture matches perfectly.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.
