I'm not sure who to feel more sorry for the narrator or the crow. I'm a little lost as I'm not sure what an "ampeletum" is nor "fark" but I think I can guess the latter. One crow does not a "murder" make. I think he'd be too smart to be gunned down.

Thanks so much for your review of "A Farkin' Crow", Helen. My new profile picture does something to explain my prolonged absence from FS. However, will probably be back again before too much longer - if for no other reason than to enjoy your poems! All the best for 2018 and beyond. Tony

Phillipa has seen fit to mute my account, Tony, for whatever reasons. So, I was not privy to reading her recent Ampeletum, "Branching" .
Que sera, sera...
I was able to read yours however, and being that I'm a big fan of crows as well as ravens, I'm ashamed to admit this to you but I was rooting for the crows.
Well done, myfiend friend.

Comment from Gloria ....
Ha, your and P's bookend posts about the lovely bird of paradise, the crow are great good fun. I really get a charge out of the bit ear as if that murderous black flight of darkness knew exactly where it hurt most.
Excellent fun with wordplay. Lots of hard sounds that work perfectly.
