I enjoy reading the Bible and asking God to teach me what I need to know. I am interested in your statement about God being the same God throughout the Bible. I believe He is but many teach that the God of the Old Testament is much different from the God of the New Testament.

Perhaps it would help to read Luke 24 and notice how Jesus points out how He is in all three segments of the OT. Thanks for reading and commenting.

A very well-written piece about the knowledge of God and His scriptures. We do not always understand what we read, and we need someone more knowledgeable to explain it to us, that is why we should go more to church and listen more to the Gospel and gain the correct knowledge of God's word. The false prophets can be easily recognized when we know what is the true words of God.

Thanks for your thoughtful exposition of Scripture! Yes, we do need to constantly be students of God's Word and let the Spirit teach us. I like what you said that we must understand it in the context of all of Scripture not taking verses out of context or forcing some verses to say what we want.
