I truly enjoy learning about other cultural celebrations. We tend to become ensconced in those traditions we grow up with...and that is to be expected, I suppose...but ah, there are so many ways around the world that people have to celebrate and "make a joyful noise" it warms my heart to embrace the positivity we rarely hear of!

An amazing piece! The rhyming was great, but the mood and environment were so fun! Diwali sounds beautiful and I can only dream of experiencing it someday. It feels as though you've been there. To see all of the beauty of the festival. You've done an incredible job on this peaceful, fun poem of acceptance and festivities ! Great job!

Contest winner. I would guess, rightly so, the language is clear and the images come through, and introduce me to a festival I had never really looked closely at.

This is a wonderful, fun poem that celebrates customs that promote family togetherness, involving eating, games and overall wholesome merriment. My family have been celebrating an annually observed family reunion that has taken place every year since 1912. This poem reminds me of that tradition very much.
