One would think that religion should unity not divide.

Christianity , Islam , Hinduism ... all the scripts of these religions preach love and peace .. Yet in their name we humans instead fuel hatred and ignite wars.

So we are the problem .. We twist and interpret God's words to suit our personal agendas like the church did in the past and still does .. It has waged wars ( crusades) but because it wanted power..

The High priests had their personal agenda too, they wanted Jesus dead because he openly showed them up for the hypocrites they were ...corrupt men lusting for power and wealth.

YOU'RE ALL FAMILY, YOU ALL HAVE YOUR RIGHTS.

A beautiful sentiment but sadly to many don't put it in practise.

PS. I prefer this past style of yours where you don't mention specifically God's name or verses from the bible but rather talk about the qualities / traits a true Member of God's army should have .. A tolerant mind, a loving heart etc.

CIAO TEMPESTE: Thank you for being my friend. You are always appreciated. You are truly a helpful and encouraging friend. You desire the best for me. I humbly thank you. That being said...I now say this: In my church I am taught that when I'm praising, worshiping and talking about our God...it is extremely important that I mention His name. Why? Well...you know our God...and you know His true name. But I doubt that it comes a surprise to you...just how many different gods there are out there...and how many people don't know "GOD'S" actual name. I don't mention His name every time...but I mention His name in enough of my postings that everyone knows who I'm referring to. None other than, JESUS. I am taught to do what I do in the name of, Jesus...and let that be known...so people don't get Him mixed up with false gods. You understand me, Tempeste. That's why we're best friends. God bless you. CIAO...your friend: rhonnie69.

Thank you RHONNIE69 for lighting the sky with your flaming pen and wonderful ink. I never gone to a Diwali festival. Way down here by the Border by the Sea we celebrate Charro Days and others during the months of Feb-Mar. Thank you for sharing your penwomanship. :)

A lovely joyous poem calling for all peoples to join you in the festivities. Really nice feel to this Rhonnie.

Surprised that no one has mentioned the spelling of "dinning" yet. Check that.

Well done - feels very inviting with a touch of comedy.

I enjoyed that your poem was informative while also keeping a lighthearted tone. I learned something about a holiday that I've never had the pleasure of experiencing. The joy you derive from the holiday is evident in each line, and the rhymes work well.
