Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Thank you for your reminder to "express gratitude" and "kindness" in this free verse. I admired your description of "their traces and echoes" plus reference to the "pages in the Biography so souls". Big smiles- Joan

Yes, dear Ronni. Honor that which you profess, and be ready to stand straight in the defence or glory of their undertaking.
A lovely light write. I love the illustration and the way presented.
Have a great day, dear friend.

So true, we must internalize the words, and actually become them. This is beautiful, and I love that artwork!! A kind word can be remembered forever, blessings...

You are so right Irish Rain, saying kind word or just thinking kind thoughts is the easy part...living up to them
requires follow through and leaves endless blessings behind and beyond. Pleased you enjoyed the art work and
presentation, and shared with your appreciative comments and reflections.
    Blessings always, Ronni

Lovely, well thought out poem and so true, using simple words that convey life as we should live it. Sentiments that we should all live by I think; the world would be a better place if we did!

Hi there;
Thank you for sharing this heartfelt poem about kindness and gratitude. It sometimes seems like there isn't enough of these two sentiments in today's hustle and bustle world,

    You are so right dear,
We are always so busy, stressed and rushed that kindness and gratitude is harder and harder to come by
let alone remember and live up to them. Perhaps reminders at least help so as not to forget them.
Thanks for sharing with your kind visit. Have a gorgeous day...
    Best wishes always, Ronni

Excellent theme. Inspired and true. It's a bit preachy but in a good way. The poem would be much stronger, though, if it SHOWED rather than just TOLD the message. If you can find another image or metaphor to weave in, it would be ideal. The metaphor of pages in the book of life is good, but they are more qualities than 'happenings' so it would be optimal to find a metaphor more in alignment with that. Experiences of kindness and gratitude can be in the book of life as a page. But Kindness and Gratitude as 'character trait personification' would not be 'pages' so much as protagonists. I think if you rework and extend the metaphor like this, it would enhance the delivery significantly.

However, it conveys the message clearly. Just one spag nit (suggestion below):

As we express
gratitude
never forget that
(our) highest appreciation
is not to just
utter the words
but to 'live' by them

Fine flow. Not using punctuation works fine, too. Personally, I would not

Kindness and gratitude are KEY!

Warmly, rd
