This is a loving tribute. It's always sad when a child disappears and no answers are found. Thank you for leaving your own opinions about what happened out of the piece. I'm sure your thoughts on the matter are reasonable, but they would have detracted from this tribute. Well done.

Hi, Dolly

= This is such an excellent dedication to Madeleine and her plight.
= I remember hearing about it in the beginning, and then recently, some 'possible' new evidence were spoke of, but then no followup on it in the news.
= So sad. She'd been missing for so long.
= Lovely write.

Cheers, J
Have a good day/evening!

I remember that story. I was visiting mum, when it was on the news. A very scary sad situation, but it shows the deviosity depth of warped individuals. I was sad to read she'd never been found. There was a case here of Jean Binet Ramsey your well described event poem was a harsh reminder. Thanks for sharing
Hugs, TRISHA

Liked your poem, though it tells a very sad story which we are all very familiar with. You are right of course one day the truth will come out, but you told the tale well in a great piece of writing well worthy of ite recognised status.

This is a very sad rendition about a missing child. It happens too frequently. I commend you for tackling this subject so elegantly. This is very well written and this reader was truly touched. May God watch over his children wherever they are. Let us pray for the missing and their families. I can not think of anything more torturous than not knowing where your child is.
Blessings,
brigitte

Every thing is a learned behavior in this life. Manners is one thing, but communication is another. Talking children is like mandatory. She would scream if she knew. And on vacation and next to two siblings... That story has some holes. May that little girl have peace of mind in any situation that she was forced to be caught up in. Sad narrative poem. Well written. Good work.

Madeleine starts out a real joy of a child but the poem turns quickly at her disappearance. The end again offers a turn in the hope that she will be discovered. This is a thoughtful commentary on a tragic incident. I hope that she has been treated gently. The form you use is very consistent, good rhymes. Good emotional connection.

Your words give a voice to this little girl. I like the line "Her spirit's there, she floats on air". It gives the little girl life, she is still around but in another form. Excellent poetic form with a smooth flow of lines.

Hi Dolly, very well written about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. She would be 13 years old now. The McCanns have just been given another huge sum of money approved by the government to keep up the search. Well just as you have your own thoughts on the matter - so have I. Awful thing to happen but ..... Well done with poem. Warm regards Dorothy x

Good morning, Dolly: I remember this case very clearly. I think we all have our own thoughts on the matter. It is so sad that this happened to this little girl. It breaks my heart each time I see something like this occur in our society.

Your poem speaks of this evil, the disappearance of such a young and precious girl. When we write about this kind of tragedy, it is hard to hide our deep disapproval and disgust for such a situation. Anyone who had anything to do with this child's disappearance should reap what they have sown.

Although this poem is about such a sad problem, it is a great poem and it informs those who don't know - that this has happened. It also warns them to be careful with their own kids. There is much child abduction occurring even down to this day but for some reason, I still feel like the parents had something to do with her absence. I f I could recall properly, the circumstances were just too weird.

Good job with this poem and thank you for the notes.

You are right Teri, the circumstances were wierd and didn?t ring true and the culprit is closer to home. If the parents are innocent then they have suffered for their neglect, but if they are not then their souls with never be saved, time will tell, thanks for your review, love Dolly x
