I absolutely love this poem. It really explains nature's beauty and man's attempted and failed recreation. The intricate wording and the occasional rhyming is superb. Good job and keep on writing!

another great poem based on traditional metrical feet. I admire people who can do this, I am not one of them. my style is more free verse and prose poetry than anything else although i do rhyme from time to time.

I love how you reference an artist, in this case Picasso but then saying they're creating beauty half as grand which further pushes, promotes this grandeur of nature and its beauty.
Also using such word as "neophyte," to be new, a novice and that is true.
Nature surely is so grand.
Thank you for taking the time to share.

easyeverett1,
You clearly write for the love of writing. I note your poems are often entered in any of the Fanstory contest. I hope that you have published a number of books of your magnificent poems.
All the best,
Eugene

the ever changing picture in the sky ,painting so perfect in colours that one wonders who can make better pictures? 'who can create what nature gives?'

Good morning EasyEverett,
Yes I do agree with you tetrameter is easy compared to Iambic Pentameter.
I usually go for the Iambic Pentameter..always a challenge and easier as time goes by.
As a water colour artist i really related to your lovely poem.
Lisa, still in Spain

Gret use of your poetic style. Brought back memories of myself as a child gazing at those marvelous clouds in awe and wonder of God's artistic splendor. Those last three lines reminded me tht men are flawed creatures, but still can enjoy god's song of Creativity.

This was a beautiful poem. The beauty of God's work is unattainable to the human hand. We can just stare in awe. This was rich in beautiful imagery. Thank you for sharing. Gretchen

It's so very true. So many talented artists have tried to capture the beauty of what nature has bestowed upon us. Some have come close in their interpretation but never manage to catch the true palette. Ulla:)))
