The imagery is great in this one - nothing says comfort, and more specifically, being wrapped in comfort, better than a terry cloth robe and slippers (the fact that the robe is white sets up the blizzard metaphor), and nothing contrasts with that better than being naked in a snowstorm.

I like that you get fit the "How-can-I-go-on-without-you?" feeling into your metaphor also - with a nice twist of pointing out that you only have to survive until spring.

Beautiful words of love and sentiment Dawn. The verse may be tiny, but the impact is powerful. To be exiled from one's comfort zone for the sake of losing a loved one stands to rob recovery from hope. sensitively the tragedy associated with the transition from comfort. Your sensitive use of contrast provides more valuable lessons. Diane x

I don't think think there's much doubt about it Dawn...there's no way you'll live till spring, just think, no more sweating, or shivering, or days at the beach, days in the woods...drinking in the scene and scents...put some clothes on Dawn, are you nuts? Well done Dawn, great post! Blessings, Roy

I'm interpreting your poem to mean that sometimes we get lost in the overpowering personality of others, making us disappear in the assumed "bigness" of the other person (partner). I know this happened to me. It takes a long time to work self back to personhood again. Marilyn
