At first I thought this was a 6-word poetry contest entry, since it fits that number. I like this poem. I'm constantly amazed at how poets can fit so much into a few words. Well done.

This piece depends on the visual to make sense of the work, and the subject is very straight-forward, but the syllables count out correctly. In my mind, five star works should make the reader think- delving beyond what is written in black and white.

Point taken. But the limitations of 1-6-1 is a challenge. Any suggestions on how you would have revised it?

You could have written about metamorphosis.
