I so agree with you about the violence these and the fact we didn't have hardly any when we were growing up. Excellent story for the contest. Good luck.

Hi, Lulub
= Boy, you sure have hit the nail on the old head.
= Excellent story for the prompt.
= Good luck in the contest.
=> Just caught some unneeded commas--and--some needed, so did a quick edit for you. (*<*)
I'm sitting on my bed with the laptop warming my thighs. My mind's heavy in thought.
I reflect on the lack of violence that existed when I was young. But, today, there's violence for everyday murders, and terrorist attacks on innocent people, such as myself, it makes me sick.
It's as if respect for life has been smothered, and sickness has evolved in the masses, to do what they please from what has brainwashed them into believing.
I look at the laptop to start my night-fulfillment of peace; click on Bible and begin to read.
= Cheers, J
= Have a good day/evening!
(*>*) Remember--A Smile Is A Frown Upside Town (*<*)

thxs for the editing, I need it. Brooke used to do it cause it would drive her nuts to let something slide by, same as Phyllis. I've gotten a lot better. Took me a while to get back into writing, period. thxs for your comments too.

Comment from Dorothy Farrell
Ah Lulube, this is a lovely true story with a strong message. I think as you do - has the world gone mad and the human race becoming degenerate? The shed - is it yours and has vandals been at work? When I was a kid we heard very little about what is going on now. Knife crime was virtually unheard of. Of course we get the lot on TV news, and programmes from all over the world. It is awful. A good read and I sympathize with you. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Hi there,
this is a well written piece.
I guess it's all about perspective.
I don't think that the violence was less years ago. I think that it is more readily accessible now with modern media. The stuff still went on, just we didn't know so much about it.
I'd be careful when reading the Bible too, it's not exactly violence free either...

I agree with you, ran out of words that I could use. I actually had put in, the fact that the public just wasn't aware of violence like it is now but had to take it out. Although the numbers have increased somewhat, I'm in my sixties now, and that's hard to say. lol thxs for your comments and review.
