The Beautiful imagery comes to life as I read this...I can smell the flowers and hear the bees buzzing. Very nice words put together in the right way can excite the senses, when it comes to nature, with sunshine and flowers in poetry. Good job

I truly enjoyed being taken back to springtime where I could wander among the plum trees and pollinating bees. I especially like how you focus on the seductive aroma of these blooms and others. Flawless cadence in each quatrain. Lovely! Rod

Ooh, you little genius, you. You are so talented, a Master Poet. How did you do iambic pentameter, of which I do truly fear, because I tried it one time and totally bombed out. Your verses flow with joy and admiration, and I can smell the aroma and taste the honey from the bees. Good luck in contests. I am back amongst my fellow poets and writers who think like me and appreciate each other's works. lol liberty justice

Exquisite! Glorious tribute. Lovely descriptiveness. Outstanding rhymes and internal rhymes and slant rhymes and phonetics. Adored reading this aloud! PURE MUSIC!
Especially the opening, my favorite stanza:
How sweet the scent of purple plums
With garden's burst of blooms.
The lilac, rose, chrysanthemums,
A palette of perfumes.
Imbued with summer's pace;(,)
Caressing senses with such plush(,)
Intoxicating grace.
Love this stanza (note one spag):
Still carried lightly on the breeze
Seduction's lure(,) so pure,
Erases winter's wicked freeze
With summer sun's allure.
Love the whimsy and rhymes here note one spag):
The honey-bee and stamen kiss(,)
Exchanging ecstasy,
As nature lulls the bee with bliss
To carry blooms to be.
Love the rhyme pairs here and the closing note of humble awe:
I fondly stroll by beauty there,
With such humility,
While breathing deep the garden air
Of rich nobility
Delightful post. Enjoyed!

I was losing my taste for rhymed and formatted poetry, but your "Spring Garden" has reminded me of the beauty and effect great poetry can have on my spirit and soul. I could point out specifics I like in each stanza, but I don't want to break this down. I love the completed picture your entire poem created for me.

Hi Tom, you are certainly churning out the poetry - and beautifully done too. This one reads easily with a lovely flow of gorgeous language. Stanza one I feel is taking poetic licence to the extreme LOL. You have Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter produce all wrapped in a poem about Spring. LOL. Forgive me for being critical - you are in good company. Thomas Hardy in one of his novels had all season's flowers blooming at once and it was a lovely book. Hurrah for poetry.
