Thank you for resposting this beautiful poem. I don't like when I've missed people's posts who I am a fan of. I am glad I got to read this poem. Your descriptions were excellent and I felt as if I was strolling in a flower garden as I read.

Wow! Well I've just joined. Welcome back and if this is your usual standard then I'm a bit frightened. Superb rhyme, rhythm, imagery all packed into a beautiful piece. Almost Marvellian in style. And that is the best compliment I can offer a poem.

This is a very accomplished poem by an author who writes with great confidence. it is littered with literary devices - lots of alliteration and assonance - and, as the author helpfully advises us - in Ballad form. I haven't seen such an outstanding ballad as this on this site so far, and I wish that I could give it six stars; I am not surprised that it is 'recognized'. I thought the quality of the language was superb, as was the imagery it created. The penultimate stanza was magical. Thank you, EasyEverett for this symphony of flowers.

Oh how I love structure and form....
I love the ballad form...but I had not seen it on this site until now...
The first poem I posted when I joined two weeks ago was AWAKEN..in Ballad form...but I do not think exactly the way tours was written...at least I do not think so....

Some people have the Midas touch. I intend that as a compliment, saying you do. Of the all the talented lines penned here my favorite would be:
The honey-bee and stamen kiss

EE,
This poem is near perfection in its design, meter, and rhyme. Fresh word combinations express the wonders of simple yet complex creation. Positive and moves the heart. Well done! :0 GracieAnn

The honey-bee and stamen kiss
Exchanging ecstasy,
As nature lulls the bee with bliss
To carry blooms to be.
I fondly stroll by beauty there,
With such humility,
While breathing deep the garden air
Of rich nobility. My gosh you do write a classical poet. I must fan you your poems are exquisite. Kind regards Meia x

A very well-written poem and an excelkent trick to beat the winter blues. Think about a Spring garden with its colorful and fragranced flowers to take the mind away from the cold bare landscape.

This was indeed a beautiful poem that painted a portrait of your garden. You took us in a tour with nice flowing rhythm. And I learned about the intricacies of the Ballard form. Thank you for sharing .
