Nice Job here Brett.
Always enjoyed your Cody work here and now I feel closer.
An interesting and abused Character in a sometimes...

The start of a chilling story and I am now hooked, you set the scene and as you have the death penalty there, it is a serious road to tread, best wishes, love Dolly x

Appreciate you taking the time to read this posting.

the Death penalty in this posting is what the accused in Ocala, Florida at the trial I will be covering for the Tennessean newspaper is facing for the crimes he is accused of.

Hello Brett,

I almost died of thirst waiting for the Cody stories to continue (remember me asking you about them when you skipped off to Darren?).

Your write here sounds exciting, is well told with no spags that I could catch. By the way, what does "batting" - like in "batting a thousand" - actually mean?

On your author's notes, I'll only say that there are times when cut and paste reviews mean a lot and are even necessary. E.g. to point out where tenses got mixed or better still, to show a writer a particularly great descriptive/imagery passage that they created. But that's my opinion.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

What you are talking about in reviews is not what I consider fluff or cut and paste.

What you are talking about is what reviewing is all about: pointing out errors in writing, and offering helpful critiques.

There is a world of difference between that and fluff or cut and paste reviews.

Too many reviewers simply offer flowery words to fill up a couple lines to pick up Funny Money.

Those are the types of reviews I oppose.

    I stand by my Disclaimer.

That being said, glad you enjoyed this portion of this posting.

"batting a thousand" means lately, if I have applied for a Freelance job offer I have been fortunate enough to secure it.

(Believe me, that does not happen 100 percent of the time. Nowhere near.)

Although I may write other things, Cody will never be completely out of the picture.
