I enjoyed reading your biographical poem. I found it very nostalgic as you painted a lovely picture of your schooldays. Nice illustration. Cheers Jen.

I admired the shaped poem you created as you visited the one-room school house of your youth. I am glad you were able to find a matching picture. Smiles- Joan

Hi, Pat
= Love your story and pix together.
= Brings in the old country charm of bygone days.
= My mother-in-law used to teach in a one-room school.
Cheers, J
Have a good day/evening!

Patricia, This is a very well written poem and one with very good wording you used. That had to be a neat time for you. It wasn't that way for me then. I like the art work you chose too! Very interesting! love, Teri

This is very well expressed Patricia and I think your author's note parallels many kids' educational journey. For me the difficult time was transitioning from grade school to high school where there were so many new kids. Well done. Marilyn

Lovely work with this poem. My mother went to a one room school the first 9 years and loved it. She said she got a better education there, than when she moved to the city in the 10th grade. I enjoyed this one very much.

High school is overwhelming, especially for a student from a one room school house. My mom passed away right before I entered high school. My responsibilities increased, so my grades suffered. I can totally relate to your poem. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! That sounds like a very different school experience that children today or even way back when I went to grade school! I like the wholesomeness of your school memories. I wish school could be just a happy place to learn and enjoy learning for the kids today.
