Hello Mimi Linny: Sometimes I dream that writers like you and me have the same dreams.
My dear, Mimi. Your poem, Playground Sprites and my poem, Calloween are twins who have emerged from two writers, with the same dream. In Playground Sprites, Dina Dinosaur is a baby sitter shepherding little ghosts and goblins. In Calloween, Mantilla is a fairy godmother
shepherding real Halloween spooks of all sorts on Halloween night. I love your poem, Mimi. I entered Calloween in an earlier Halloween contest. It needs adjustments. I'm working on that. As soon as I've edited it and fixed it, I intend to post it again. I'll let you know when I do.
I want so much for you to see it. If it is the will of our good Lord, you will. Love ya'.

Hi Rhonnie! Thank you so much for the great review and comments! I will definitely be looking for your poem, Calloween! I know I had fun writing mine! I wrote Playground Sprites several years ago as part of a series of scripts I had been asked to write for various scenes that were being set up for our City's "Halloween Tour of Baker Park." Since I love poetry, I prepared the scripts for teh various scenes in poetic form. Tour guides would walk around visitors and present various stories at each scene. This particular scene took place in the playground where we actually have a play Dinosaur as part of the playground equipment. There were to be little ghosts and goblins running around the playground during the Halloween night tour, which gave me the inspiration... It was a fun little piece to write and it sounds like you are having as much fun putting your poetry together as I am... Thanks again for the wonderful review - and am so looking forward to seeing your Calloween!

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

-Nice image and presentation.
-Good imagery, rhyme, and meter
that create a good flow for the poem.
-A cute story, too, with good alliteration:
"Happy little goblins slide
While baby sprites do swing"
-I really like your entry, and kids
would love this.
-Hope you do well in the contest.

Very nicely rhyming poem that could appeal to parents reading to their small children. Has a nice poetic cadence and might well appeal to very small children listening to Halloween stories while sitting next to their parents.
