You meet people with a different outlook at the gym! Mixing with aging people can sometimes bring you down to their level! I could identify with your write Phillip, love Dolly x

Phillip,
It's always hard trying to fit in when you arrive at a new place. I think that's true for just about everyone. It makes us feel like we're back in grade school again, unfortunately. *smile* Time will take care of all that. Be patient!! Thanks!

You do know, you rescued me from being powerless at constructing poems, don't you, Robyn? You are my angel.

Outlook and choosing to live (and who to live with) well are, indeed, everything, especially the closer one gets to dusk. If this is what you are intending to convey, I get it. Thanks for the insight.

It's a beautifully expressed piece that taps into the potential in the human spirit, and what it is capable of achieving. I like how the way it describes transformation, but does not directly state it. Kinda rare due to the difficulty. However, with your rhyme scheme and theme, it does make for a great piece!

A very well-written poem about aging. We cannot stay young forever and we can feel when we atevgetting older. We are getting weaker and are not able to do what we used to do.

It is so sad when the younger generation looks at the aged as people who just needed to be tolerated. I am soon going to be 80 and I find that many younger folks are only looking at the aged and not listening to them Wrapped up in the senior population there is great wisdom. Patricia
